Welcome to TFP Models .com

This is a site dedicated to the industry practice of photographing models in exchange for prints, called Time For Prints. TFP has been around since before there were cameras, with artists and models exchanging services for experience.

Whatever your feelings, TFP is time-honored, legitimate, and here to stay. It's also about the best way for photographers and models to do art, creative work, and try new things that could apply to future paying jobs.

I am in the process of splitting up the site into TFPModels.com & TFPModeling.com. There might be a few quirks for a day or so as this is happening.
As of 6-23-06: I've fixed a few logon issues, and am working on getting the profile system and upload system working on this site.

All new features, all new functionality, and the ability to add in features the users want, when they want it, without recoding the whole site! Easy upgrades! *ALSO* If you want to run your own similar site, the software is available, and can be easily customized by you or us to do exactly what you need, and you can upgrade and add features as you need them! No other site/software can claim that! Stay tuned, roll out will be in the next week, with upgrades and enhancements on a continual basis.

TFPModels.com was the original site for both TFPModels & TFPModeling. TFPModeling has been split off into it's own site. That site is for both photographers and models, and is a beta site for the software. This site is ONLY for models (everyone can view, but only model portfolios are allowed). The idea is for models who are willing to work TFP for art, or other reasons, can be located by photographers looking for models for non-paying projects.

This site is *not* for photographers to get "exposure" in any way, shape or form. Large watermarks or logos on images uploaded by models, will get the profiles disabled. This site is about the MODELS, not the photographers (didn't I just say that?).

Photographers will be allowed to set up profiles, as a photographer, for the purpose of contacting models, and getting rated/ranked as whether you are a good or bad working partner. Logos for photographers are disabled, as it's far too abused on other sites to bother with here. Photographers who attempt to abuse the concepts of TFP will get negative ratings, and perhaps their profiles disabled across our network. TFP is legitimate working arrangement, and is a valid contractual effort.

Models: Because of how this site is structured, you will be able to show off the type of work you are interested in, and the type of compensation in TFP you are looking for. You will be getting messages from people wanting to work with you. It's up to you to check them out, and decide if you want to work with them. If you post nudes, you are expected to do nudes TFP. The quickest way to get booted off our entire network is to post "nude" images, and say you don't do nudes, or you only do nudes for pay (eg: not TFP). Sorry, those are the rules.

As the site develops, the search features will become smarter, and certain keywords will be disabled for certain profiles, and certain profiles will have their search rankings dropped or zero'd out. Please do not try to keyword load any profile. Your profile may stop showing up on searches without any warning or notice to you. The goal of this system is to be as useful as possible, that means excessive keywords, or inappropriate keywords for your profile will get your profile demoted. For example, some models try to use "I don't do nudes, nudity or naked pictures." as a means of showing up on searches for nude models... it won't work here.

The goal of this site is NOT to become huge, large, or otherwise some mega site. It's to provide a niche service to the photographic and artistic community for hooking up models

TFPModeling.com is a site for BOTH photographers & Models to discuss and share their portfolios on TFP Modeling, and to hookup for creative collaborations. It is also the second, unofficial, home of the Pittsburgh Models and Photographers Meetup Group.

This site will be arranged a bit differently from our other sites. For purposes of maintaining search engine linkings, we have to chose some means of permanent homes for your portfolio.

We will be using Neighborhoods, streets, and even apartments for classifying your profiles, and we'll have a few basic areas set up to begin with. As the site develops, we'll open more areas, and you'll be able to move neighborhoods or addresses (at a penalty of your search engine links, unfortunately) if you want to.

We'll have Glamour Boulevard, Fashion Avenue, Fetish Freeway, Naked City, and Nudist Retreat open at first. Each will have a specific type of tenant. Glamour Boulevard is for pin-up and glmaour models. Fashion Avenue is for fashion, runway, and other models - limited to no nudity. Naked City is for urban nudes, edgy images, etc. Nudist Retreat is for art nudes, nature nudes, and such. Fetish Freeway is for the alternative, fetish, and bondage models. Please pick your neighborhood carefully. You don't want to upset your neighbors, or be shocked if you look out your window. While we realize there is a lot of cross over with models, you need to decide what your main interest is, especially for TFP work, and go with it. We'll consider summer home (second profile) requests on a case-by-case basis.

Fashion, Runway, Clothes Models, etc. Limited/NO nudity.
For the alternative, fetish and bondage models. No adult/porn tolerated.
Glamour, Pin-up, general "sexy" modeling. Limited nudity, topless.
Urban nudes, edgy images, studio nudes, general nude photography. Full nudity, no adult.
Art nudes, nature nudes, outdoor nudes, simple nudity. No fetish or alt.
